What is SCTRCA ?

The SCTRCA Mission Statement: To increase participation of African American, Asian American, Disabled Individual, Emerging Small, Hispanic American, Minority, Native American, Small, Veteran and Woman-owned business enterprises in their pursuit of contracting and procurement opportunities by providing centralized certification services.

The South Central Texas Regional Certification Agency (SCTRCA) is a 501 (c) (3) Non-profit Corporation that represents several public entities in the South Texas area. These entities are committed to enhancing participation for disadvantaged, small, minority and woman owned businesses in public/government contracting and purchasing activities.

The SCTRCA is committed to ensuring that only firms meeting the eligibility criteria of 49 CFR Part 26 and Part 23 (Airport Concessions) participate in contracting and procurement opportunities as Airport Concessionaire Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) or Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE). A Small Business Enterprise (SBE), Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) are certified in accordance with the SCTRCA Business Enterprise Certification Policies and Procedures Manual.

The SCTRCA entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts whereas a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) certified by the SCTRCA may be eligible for Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) reciprocal certification with the Comptroller of Public Accounts.

The South Central Texas Regional Certification Agency (SCTRCA), is seeking an Executive Director with five (5) years of experience in coordinating and implementing a small, disadvantaged, minority and woman owned business certification/advocacy program, or a comparable and acceptable combination of experience and education. Prior supervisory experience is required. Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
